Why Train With Your Rats?

PictureOne of my favorite tricks!
Training is a fun and productive way to engage with your small pet. Rats are intelligent creatures who thrive on mental challenge - and what better way to meet this need than to engage in a fun activity for both of you? And as an added bonus, training is a great way to improve your communication with your pet. Tired of constantly stopping your rat from jumping out of their playpen? Teach them another way to communicate their needs and it will no longer be a problem!

Below are some example videos of just what you can train your rats if you stick with it. I've trained rats of any age and temperament, so rest assure that any rat can learn and that all of them enjoy it!

One great enrichment for rats is foraging toys - check out some of my favorites here!
